Release Date

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games has confirmed this date directly, and Take-Two leadership has publicly reaffirmed it multiple times through 2026, including alongside the August 2026 gameplay reveal.

The game has been delayed twice from its original window: first teased for a 2025 release (December 2023 trailer), then set for May 26, 2026, before landing on its current target with Rockstar citing additional polish time.

Platforms

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro support — haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, 3D audio) and Xbox Series X|S.

No PC version has been officially confirmed, and there is no release planned for PS4 or Xbox One. Based on the series' historical cadence, a PC version would typically follow console launch by a year or more — but nothing is confirmed as of this writing.

Editions & Price

Standard and Ultimate Editions are confirmed, with regional pricing varying by storefront. Eligible pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+.

Pre-Order & Pre-Load Timeline

Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. Digital pre-load begins November 12, 2026 — a full week before launch.
